I started Site and Search Setup in September of 2022.

I landed my first client shortly after that and have been building and learning every day since.

I’m grateful now that starting a business isn’t as easy as I expected it to be. Through the challenges, I’ve grown tremendously and met incredible people along the way.

I wanted to transition into marketing from my technical writing job out of college. I believe the best way to learn something is by doing it.

I decided the best way for me to learn marketing was finding clients and applying my skills to them to see what works and what doesn’t for them.

Strip out all the tools and buzzwords and what is marketing really about?

1. Find ways to attract people.
2. Find ways to keep those attracted people engaged.
3. Find ways to turn engaged people into customers.

When you view it simply like this, each business can find ways that work for them. Obviously marketing is not one size fits all.

My process is meant to experiment and research to find the ways your business can most effectively build a process that works for you. It’s never finished, but we get closer to perfection with continued learning.

Marketing is simple. I know the tools. You know your business. Together, we find processes that work for you.

I was born and raised north of Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington in 2019.

Four years after graduating, I moved to Chicago for both a challenge and an adventure. I wanted to see a new part of the country and live in a big city and I am thrilled with my decision.

I play a lot of sports, particularly basketball, golf, skiing and volleyball. Despite moving, my loyalties are still firmly with the Seahawks, Mariners and Huskies.
